2016 Skoda Octavia RS 230 - Test Drive

The new 2016 Škoda Octavia RS 230 is the most powerful production Octavia of all time. The 2.0 TSI turbocharged petrol engine with 230 horsepower accelerates the manual-transmission Octavia RS 230 from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds. The top speed is – for the first time in an Octavia – electronically limited at 250 km/h. 

The electronically controlled limited-slip differential for particularly dynamic cornering is also celebrating its premiere in a ŠKODA series model. The Octavia RS 230 now features sports suspension as standard. The sporty design is highlighted with black design elements and 19-inch alloy wheels, along with leather sport seats and a sports steering wheel. The partially redeveloped exhaust system ensures a powerful sound.

During a test drive, the former Formula One driver shows what the most powerful Octavia of all time is capable of. Hans-Joachim 'Strietzel' Stuck is excited about the new power Octavia: “A fantastic day with a fantastic car,” was the 64-year-old’s conclusion.

Shortly after introducing the new special edition Octavia RS 230, Škoda releases the next big name in their Octavia RS series: the powerful sports compact is now available with all-wheel drive. 4×4 drive for the Octavia RS diesel 2.0 TDI 184 hp (135 kW) in combination with six-speed DSG is available on the first markets as of now. This combination of all-wheel drive and sports performance turn the Škoda Octavia RS hatch and estate into an impressive performance package.
